2003 Volkswagen Beetle turbo wing makes noise coming down

manual turbo switch under dash is not working????? turbo wing makes louder than normal sound when it collapses. (annoying) Problably needs grease! Can not open wing for maintence because of faulty manuall switch.

Any idea's?

You say it's a fualty switch, did you test the switch? Remove the wiring harness to the switch, use an ohm meter across the switch, it should be 0-5 ohms max when pressed, and OL when not pressed, irf the spoiler motor is loud enough to annoy, it is probably the faulty part...test for power to it by unplugging the connector, press the switch and see if there is power with a voltmeter.
