2002 Volkswagen Beetle 155,00 miles

I recently bought a 2002 Volkswagen beetle. My dad works at a pest control company and they had a advertising car which is the beetle. It has 155,000 miles on it and needs brake pads but other than that it runs fine.It cost 2,500.Was this a pretty good buy? I'm concerned about the mileage.

todays engines are built better to last longer. the 155,000 is normal with a business vehicle. To me it sounds quite fair for $2,500. Have seen 2002 that were going for around $10,000 and had 92,000 miles on it. Was it a good buy, Without seeing the vehicle or driving it and costing $2500 I would say yes even though it needs barkes. Did you get any service records with it. If not ask your dad, if he can ask for them if the company still has them. Some business keep records of repairs done but some companies don't. With any used auto's now a days do need some TLC.
