I would like to know what you think may be wrong. We tried changing the fuses and it is still doing this. When you click on the turn signal it flashes a couple of times and turns itself off. We turn it on again and it does the same thing. After about 3 or 4 or even 5 tries the signal may stay on. What part would you think would need to be replaced and do you think it is something we could do or do you think we need to take it to have it fixed? How can I find a good repair place in my area that I know will work on Beetles but not the dealer?

suspect faulty signal (multi function) switch. this repair normally calls for removing or working near the airbag system. i would advise finding a local reputable repair shop to do the job.
