I was recently on a 25 mile road trip and my oil light started flashing and beeping at me. I looked in my owners manual and it said to check the oil level, and it was fine. Then it said if it is at an appropriated level, then the oil pressure is too low. It said to park the car in a safe zone and DO NOT drive it. My mechanic is three blocks from where I parked it. Should I drive it there or should I have it towed? Also, what is the problem? Minor, or severe? Thank you.

It might be something as simple as a faulty switch, a trustworthy mechanic will be able to tell, but from cyberspace, it is difficult. Anyway, if there is any question about you or your cars safety then by all means, tow it.
