Hi, i was driving one night and slightly hit a dip in the road and my car started shaking, the steering wheel everything. i took it to my friend who used to be a mechanic and he said the engine mount is broke. I then took it to a repair shop and they are saying my engine block is cracked. Is this possible? If so how does it get cracked? And can a Misfire also be the cause? Thanks!

At first it sounded like a wheel balance problem , Are you loosing antifreeze or is the car overheating. If the engine vibrates could be a number of things. Why does the mechanic think the block is cracked. Did he do a compression check on it? Are you loosing fluids? A lot of things could case it to shake anywhere from a faulty injector to a bad wire.
