Electrical problem
2002 Volkswagen Beetle 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 39000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Is there a warning light in the instrument cluster which warns of this condition?

A "battery not charging" light or something?

It refused to start. Out of the blue and all of a sudden.

What gives?

Do I have a case to ask VW of America for reimbursement?

Thanks!

reimburstment for what? If the alt isnt charging the "idiot" ligh will come on. But if you are getting at the alt drawing the battery dead, it can do that and still charge normally.
