2001 Volkswagen Beetle Manual 80,000 miles

Dealer said I need a $125.00 upgrade to the computer to increase the parameters on the error code for the catalytic converter. This will give me the proper diagnosis?

Yes there is a upgrade for your vehicle. It is covered under warranty if your vehicle is within coverage.
