2001 Volkswagen Beetle 2 codes are on (i) check engine (2)E

Ok can't help without info. So what is wrong what is it doing? If the check engine light is on then call around to your local parts stores and find one that does a free scan and get you car scanned. Write down the codes and then have the codes cleared and get back to me with the codes. The codes will be P???? meaning it will be a P with 4 numbers to follow.
