Hello, I have a 1998 VW Beetle purchased 2 yrs ago...I noticed the other day the mileage LCD is unreadable......I was wondering what could be the problem...any helpful info is greatly appreciated!

If the LCD screen is garbled or or only partially readable you'll need to replace the entire cluster assembly.

They are not cheap and usually require programming by a VW scan tool.
