1997 Volkswagen Beetle 4 cyl Manual 60k miles

Can you tell me if the power steering rack from a 1997 beetle differs greatly from 1998 models or newer models? I need a new power steering rack and I can get a used part from a 2002 beetle or possibly 1998 beetle. Just want to make sure it will be compatible.

Call your local wrecking yard and asked them the compatible years, they have that set up on their computers.
