I have a 1977 VW superbeetle convertible. I need to know how to replace the radio antenna. Do I need to remove the radio first? Is it difficult to get the connector from the antenna to the radio without extensive removal of the dashboard? What steps do I need to follow?

you should be able to get to the back of the radio from under the hood where the spare tire and gas tank are as well as the antenna.
