I completed a full restoration on my 1975 VW convertable. I am now ready to change the oil after its first 500 miles. Do I also have to adjust the valves?

Hi there,

I would be a good idea to check the valve clearances, as this is its first service, but you won't have to do this every service, enjoy your bug. I am also restoring one for my partners daughter for her 1st car.

Great thanks! Failed to mention in my first question that my running lights are working but for the license plates, turn signals and brake lights.

Check that the fuse connections are clean and tight, the rego light is the same circuit as the parkers, so check the globe and the plug on the loom to the light.
