i have changed alternater regulater front wiring harness and it still wont charge any input will be helpful

Check the field wire on alt. key on see if 12v is present. Exciter voltage from key is need to get alt going. VW runs a wire from batt to ign then back to alt and they often have problem loosing voltage.
