1971 Volkswagen Beetle 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

Do you know if there is a bolt on oil filter kit for a 71 super beetl with a 1600cc motor? If so, what are the advantages of this system, and what is the basic procedure, like where is it installed? is it put on to the oil pump cover?....thx rich

Hi there,

I can't find any info on this conversion, i don't think that it can be done, if you remove the plate at the bottom of the engine there is a strainer there, this can be cleaned.
