i'm looking to buy a used vw but i neeed to replace the crankshaft, how does one do this and where could i purchase the part?

Hi there,

This is a very complex job on a VW and not one for a novice to attempt, i do think that you will be far better sourcing a good second hand engine, they are cheap and plentiful.
