1. Change the contact points and condenser. Take off the distributor cap, pull off the rotor and unscrew the contact points. Adjust them to the proper gap when the cam lobe is pushing against the cam rider. I forget what it is; I want to say it's about.020.
2. Set timing to about 5 degrees before TDC. This requires a static or strobe timing light and a wrench to turn the crankshaft.
3. Replace spark plugs.
4. (Optional) set valve lash.
