1970 Volkswagen Beetle Two Wheel Drive Manual

I just bought a vw trike with vw drive train. I need to put a speedometer on it. Where does the cable go in the transmission?

Hi there,

There is no speedo drive in the transmission as most normal cars, the speedo on VW beetles was driven from the left front wheel, the cable went through the stub axle and was clipped to the bearing grease cap.
