I have a 1966 VW beetle. i recently replaced the plugs, starter, solanoid, altenator, oil thingy, oil change, put starter fluid in, new spark plugs, and its converted to 12vlt. when i turn the key its like its trying to start but its not turned over.. ive tried holding in the clutch holding it out. (its raised up off theground btw) idk what to do ive asked like everybody. the battery is new, its been charged and shocked so its working. what could it be?? my mom said itd probably be something obvious that im missing >.<

Disconnect the coil wire at the distributor and ground it to the engine and crank it over do you have spark?
