Have replaced all suspension and brake components on front, yet car still shakes when braking. Was told could be ABS system? Checked new rotors less than.002 out. What else?

If you have drum brakes apply the parking brake and see if you notice the vehicle shake. If it does then you will need to have the drums turned or replaced. If you replace the drums then have the new ones turned also. I have seen with most aftermarket drums I end up having the vehicle come back because they are warped.

If it is okay then have the rotors resurfaced just to make sure they are not warped.

Hey Traci,

I would rotate the tires front to back, I have seen where the tire layers separate which causes the shaking sensation under braking.

Please let us know happens so it will help others.

Best, Ken

Unhooked the speed sensor wires on both front hubs and shaking has stopped. Apparently it is something in the abs system
