I recently had my front passenger wheel bearing knuckle assembly replaced because there noticeable wobble sound when driving and became louder when on the highway. After it was replaced, I noticed that my car would vibrate whenever I would pick up speed and especially noticed after I turn and pick up speed. Vibration is noticed in the steering wheel area and cabin area. I also replaced my ball joint on the same side. I have also rotated and balanced my tires. Note: I have slight bent steel wheel on the front passenger wheel. I'm not sure because I have did everything from rotation and balance, repair and alignment that the bent rim is more noticeable now.

Hi,

You could notice a bent rim more if everything is new and tight on the front. However, there should have been a change if you rotated the tires.

Next, the idea that it is more noticeable after turning has me a little concerned. When the repairs were done, did they replace both the bearing and steering knuckle? This vehicle has a press-in bearing. I'm concerned something wasn't fully seated or tightened. The spindle nut is my first thought. See pic below

If you lift one wheel at a time off the ground, check to see if there is any in and out play at the wheel. Also, check for any looseness.

Let me know.

Joe

Hey Jacob. I took it by an actual auto shop and was inspected by the technician. He came back saying that the right front CV Axle needed replacement which is causing the vibration.

Hi,

I'm surprised they didn't notice that when replacing the wheel bearing, but anything is possible.

As far as replacing the drive axle, I don't know if you plan to have them do it or if you plan to do it yourself. So, I attached the directions below for you.

If you have questions, let me know. Also, let me know if this takes care of the issue.

Take care,

Joe
