Hi,
I'm glad I came across this. LOL
If you are noticing it only at a specific RPM and not a specific speed, the tire balance isn't the likely cause. If the engine and transmission are operating properly, my first suspect is a failing engine mount.
If you have a bad mount, oftentimes engine vibration is transferred through the mount to the frame of the vehicle causing you to feel it. Just for curiosity, do you notice it more via the steering wheel, seat and floor, or is it everywhere?
Try this. You will need a helper. Have the helper apply the park brake, start the engine, and open the hood. Have the helper first place the transmission in drive and firmly apply the brakes. While you are watching the engine, have the helper gently apply the throttle to the engine. Do this in both drive and reverse and see if the engine seems to move excessively when it's being done. Note that there will be some movement. However, it shouldn't be excessive. If it moves in excess of an inch or so, chances are we have a bad mount.
Let me know what you find.
Joe
