My 2005 Toyota Highlander V4 engine front wheel drive car started vibrating significantly when reaching speeds of 55 mph or above. If I remove my leg on the acceleration, the vibration stops while the car is rolling but when I throttle, it starts again. The vibration is very violent and shakes through the whole vehicle.
I took it to the mechanic and they found nothing with a visual inspection. They also checked the arms and bow joints, Thyroids and linkages and confirmed they are OK. They recommended new tires which I bought and they re-balanced the tires and did alignment. When we tested the car, the vibration was still there from 50 mph and increases significantly as you accelerate faster.
Any advice on what the problem is and how to solve it?
