When I turn on my car and leave it idle for less than a minute, the car starts to vibrate every 2-3 seconds. It also does this when I stop at red lights etc., as well. But I don’t notice it when I drive my car. Can anyone help me before I go to the mechanics?

Hi,

Can you tell if the idle is just going low? Most times a low idle or rough idle is caused by a vacuum leak or the idle air control valve (IAC). The IAC is responsible for maintaining idle speed. Lets start simple. Here is a link that shows how to check for a vacuum leak. Do this first and let me know the results.

Let me know if you have questions.
