Very hard to refuel

Even when gas tank is almost empty, when refueling gas pump shut off as if the tank is full. Have to trickle gas in at extremely slow speed, even then will shut off ever two gallons or so.

Good morning.

The most common issue for this is the canister vent valve. Air cannot escape from the tank during refueling. It is an easy fix and you can get the part at any parts store.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Lower the spare tire, underbody mounted spare tire only.
3. Disconnect the vent valve electrical connector.

4. Disconnect the vent hose (1).
5. Bend back the tang on the bracket.
6. Remove the vent valve (3) from the bracket (2).
