What could be the issue if whenever my van is turned on the vents are continuously blowing warm air even though they are in the off position. When I turn on the A/C it continues to blow warm air. What could be the problem and what do I need to do to fix it?

Hi,

Do you mean that airflow is from the dash vents and won't change direction? That would likely be related to a mode door actuator. However, the air temperature is controlled by something different, a blend air door actuator.

When you turn the A/C on, do you hear the compressor engage?

Let me know as much as you can. For example, is it an airflow direction issue or a temperature issue? If both, let me know that as well. Also, pay attention to see if you can hear the A/C compressor engage when you turn on the A/C.

Take care,

Joe
