There is no cool air coming through any vents. It is even shut off and has extreme heat coming out. Air conditioner has no Freon. Clutch does not turn. Was told need knew air conditioner compressor. I had valves put on hoses to shut off heat from heater core. This is much better than before. Do I have to take off dash to get to heater core or something instead? What to do for air conditioner. Not sure. Thanks for advise

If there is no freon in the system, the compressor won't engage. If there is freon (proper amount) and it still doesn't engage, then there could be a power supply issue to the compressor, a low pressure switch which is bad. As far as getting heat into the vehicle, the blend air door must not be working and allowing heat to enter. Please keep in mind, if the blend door is stuck in the heat position, it doesn't matter how well the AC works. It won't blow cool air into the vehicle.
