Hi again. I did not realize it started normally when you press the gas. Your vehicle has an throttle actuator control which helps the engine get air when you are not pressing on the gas pedal. Since it starts when you press on the pedal, I have a feeling the throttle body needs cleaned. Here are the directions for cleaning it.

Throttle Body Cleaning
Caution: Turn OFF the ignition before inserting fingers into the throttle bore. Unexpected movement of the throttle blade could cause personal injury.
Notice: Do not insert any tools into the throttle body bore in order to avoid damage to the throttle valve plate.
Notice: Do not use any solvent that contains Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK). This solvent may damage fuel system components.
1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
Important: DO NOT prop open the throttle blade with the ignition key in the ON position as it may set a diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
2. Inspect the throttle body bore and the throttle valve plate for deposits. You must open the throttle valve in order to inspect all of the surfaces.
3. Clean the throttle body bore and the throttle valve plate using a clean shop towel with GM Top Engine Cleaner P/N 1052626 (Canadian P/N 993026) or AC-Delco Carburetor Tune-up Conditioner P/N X66-P, or an equivalent product.
4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.

I was able to find a couple pictures of the throttle blade. Just make sure not to do any of the work with the key on. Once you remove the air inlet tube, you will see the throttle blade. There is no need to remove the component as seen in picture 2.
Let me know if you have other questions or need help. Also, if you could, please let me know if this takes care of the problem.
Take care,
Joe
