Will not start, malfunction message appeared?

When trying to start my vehicle it won’t start. The screen is saying malfunction. It’s making a clicking/buzzing sound after trying to start the car. It starts after jumping it with several tries and starts as normal for a while then the same issue all over again. Does this sound battery relate or is it likely something else?
