Could it be the crank shaft? My vehicle is cranking but won't start. The spark plugs have no spark to them when I try to start it, I replaced the wires from the ignition coil to the spark plug thinking it may have been a connection between them. I just got the vehicle, not sure what all work has been done just don't know where to start with fixing it.

Hi,

Oftentimes, it is related to a failed crankshaft position sensor (CKP) when spark is lost. If you have a live data scanner, see if there is an RPM signal when cranking it. If you don't have one, see if the tachometer moves a little when cranking.

Also, take a look through this link. See if anything mirrors what you are experiencing.

On this vehicle, the CKP is located behind the starter motor, so you will need to remove it if you replace it. If you look below, I attached the directions for replacing it.

Let me know what you find or if you have questions,

Take care,

Joe
