2004 Vauxhall Zafira barometric pressure

Could you please tell me how a Barometric Pressure problem affects the engine and wether or not this can be remedied or is it permanent and would this cause the fault light to remain on and restrict the vehicle to 'limp home' mode

a fault on a sensor would cause the CEL/MIL to stay on .. or a fault which the sensor is picking up !! if the said fault put the vehicle in limp mode and has not been remedied then the vehicle will stay in limp mode untill repaired and the PCM (computer) is reset
