car has brken down gears feel like ok 7 hydrolics seem ok on the brakes but when you depress clutch no reaction.
garage is saying gear box needs replacing but i dont feel it is as i have not had any cranking or leaks on my drive.
would the clutch require replacing at same time.

from your description of the fault, it sounds like the clutch needs replacing ... can you get all gears when the engine is NOT running ??
