2003 Vauxhall Vectra How can I increase performance?

My Vectra 1.8 is not a bad car, not the quickest on the road.
I am starting to tow a caravan now and was wondering if there was anyway to get a bit more performance out of it as it seems to be tuned for economy rather than performance.

the Vectra was designed to be an economical car for families and sales rep's .. not for performance .. the best you can do is keep it well serviced and add fuel cleaner etc. .. this will improve performace slightly and better fuel economy ..
