1998 Vauxhall Vectra Gearbox wont go into 5th

Transmission problem
1998 Vauxhall Vectra 6 cyl Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have recently bought a vectra 1.8 Arctic with manual transmission. However the gears wont go into 5th or reverse. Is this a gearbox or clutch problem.

check the linkages and the selector door under the stick
