1997 Vauxhall Vectra 4 cyl Manual 108000 miles

i have just put a recond engine in my vectra everything is reconected but the car will start but will not tick over ie stay running also i can get every gear with the engine switched off but when its started i cannot get any gears at all what can i do

check all vacuum lines .. it also sounds like the clutch is faulty or incorrectly fitted
