Hi. Every time I put a fuse into the slot for the interior light/ radio and horn ( 1 fuse ) as soon as I start the car the fuse box goes up in flames! I tried to bypass the fuse box but now none of the said items work.

i had the car in with a mechanic for 6 weeks and he couldnt figure it out. Has anyone got any idea whats wrong?

Hello,

Sound like there might an issue inside your UEC, Under hood Electrical Center. These units are known to have water entry.

These can be stripped and inspected.

Get the technician to check if any wires are shorting to ground.

How to test wiring.

The radio, interior light and horn have three separate fuses.
The horn uses fuse four in the UEC.
The radio uses fuse three in the inside fuse box.
The interior light uses fuse nine in the inside fuse box.

Please see link below.

Please let us know how you get along.

Cheers, Boris
