Yesterday my girlfriend was driving home when all of a sudden the car lost its power got the car on the drive left it for 5 mins then restarted it it shown a picture of a orange car with a spanner the car runs perfectley until you rev it about 3500 rpm it losses power the picture has now gone out but the car still drives rough the vauxhall garage have said it would be 95 pounds to put the car on the machine but dont have the money.I have been told off a machanic it could be my lambdo sensor in the manifold tryed to remove it but couldnt shift it is there any way of checking this please. Only had the car 13 months

The only way to check this is to have the car plugged into a diagnostic computer and retrieve the fault code's. Most good garages will be able to read the cars computer for you at less money than the dealer. Without the fault codes you could be replacing parts for no reason costing more than the doagnostic scan !
