1997 Vauxhall Fronterra 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

hi i have a vauxhall fronterra 2.5 tds 1997 and the engine keeps cutting out when in full throttle the engine management light comes on then keeps flashing when the light stops flashing the engine will start back up again can you help me please.

start by having the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to check for fault codes stored ? repost with codes for further assistance
