Engine Cooling problem
2002 Vauxhall Corsa Two Wheel Drive Manual 86000 miles

the engine management light comes on in my corsa (2002) and the temperature gauge doesnt work! after driving for a couple of miles the light goes off and the gauge starts working, is it a major problem or just a sensor fault?? the car runs fine although the fan did stay on after i stopped the engine until i restarted it and turned it of again, although this only happened on the one accasion! any ideas? p.s sometimes i start my car and there is no light on and the gauge works straight away????
