2002 Vauxhall Corsa Two Wheel Drive Manual

Hi, My car has a ratte that sounds like metal on metal (abit like spoons) when you drive along over uneven road surfaces - i.e. general bumps on the road or cats eyes. It doesnt make the noise when you go over speed humps so its a bit confusing. I think it is coming mainly from the drivers side possibly connected to the right side wheels. My girlfriend thinks its the exhaust though! Any ideas?

check for a loose connector or heat shield on exhaust
