2001 Vauxhall Corsa light comes on

2001 Vauxhall Corsa Manual

When I start the car for the first time it starts good no problem. When the car has been standing neutral while I go shopping (example) I then go to start up but this time it takes a minute or to turn over before it fires up. A light sometimes come on that has a picture of a car with a bow tied around it. Any clues what can be the cause of this.

the light could be coming on for numerous reasons .. you need to have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to retrieve the fault codes which will pinpoint where the fault lies
