When the headlights are switched on, the blue main beam light on the dash board is always on dimly. After about a week of this the light came on at full brightness all the time and only the sidelights would show when the switch was in headlight position and had no main beam. Changed the main beam arm, checked the fuse, relays and bulbs and changed the connections behind the lights because the plastic connector on each had completely melted. They worked lovely for a couple of days but now the same thing has happened again. This time checked the earth wire no change, ran out of ideas!
