1995 Vauxhall Cavalier idling

Engine Performance problem
1995 Vauxhall Cavalier Two Wheel Drive Manual 125000 miles

Car is 1796cc injection fuelled. It idles very roughly causing some shaking/vibration but drives normally at speed. Could it be a faulty idle control stepper motor.

start by replacing the spark plugs/wires distributor cap and rotor arm, generally giving the car a service !
