2005 Vauxhall Astra clicking noises when accelerating

whilst accelerating , car engine makes continous clicking noises and makes noises whilst sitting idle .
have had it serviced but seems to be still doing it .
any advice

you need to have a garage check this ..it could be numerous items causing the noise ..
