Hello,
The front strut and springs can be removed using typical hand tools. It can take couple of hours depending on your comfort level.
First jack up the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
It is helpful to mark the location of bolt that hold suspension components like tie rod ends, this will help put everything back while keeping the alignment as close as possible.
Remove the tie rod end from the spindle.
The strut is held on by mount at the top and at the bottom.
Both needs to be removed in order to get the strut assembly out.
Remove the lover control arm nuts and bolts then remove the upper and lover mounting bolts for the strut.
Use a pry bar to remove the lower control arm then you should have enough space to get the strut assembly out.
