We have a problem with one of the back lights. The brake light was not working, so we attempted to change the bulb first, no joy, then we realise there was a possible loose connection problem within the whole unit so we purchased a whole new unit from a local scrap dealer and that seemed to fix the brake light, but now the normal light and fog light do not work. The brake and normal light are on a double bulb and the brake light part of the bulb is working fine. We think it maybe a fuse, but we are unsure what fuse to change, and as we have no manual to refer to we are a bit lost. We do not want to start pulling random fuses out....please can you help.

start by checking the contact's for the bulbs are in good condition and getting a clean contact .. if one light is working it will not be a fuse !!
