Hi there I have a mk4 vauxhall astra 99 t reg and have noticed a beigey colour gundge on the oil cap and a little on the dipstick, I have no water loss and temperature is ok and no oil loss. What do you think the cause of this could be. Your help much appreciated thanks

Hi there,

This may just be a build up of condensation, if you are using you car in short trips and not getting the engine oil up to operating temp on a regular occurrence, condition can build up and form this emulsified oil deposit. It is not a real concern, but a tin of engine flush a good long run and an oil chance will help.

Hi there,

Just be aware that it may not clear up completely, longer runs are beneficial, monitor problem and coolant, but I feel it is not going to be a problem.
