1998 Vauxhall Astra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 108ooo miles

hello ive recently done the head gasket on my 2ltr dti astra. Ive timed it up with the correct pins. However the turbo works, but the engine lacks power. Also it takes a while to start in the mornings. The engine does seem to be a little noiser as well, and every know and then usually first thing all power is resumed, any ideas? Regards keith

Check the exhaust manifold for leaks .. you could be losing compression and this would make the engine sound a little louder !!
