heavily smoking on accelaration,seems to be white/grey in colour and it reved to red line all by its self in between a gear change.i then turned off ignition and restarted fine but still with smoke

have the clutch checked ? .. is the smoke coming from exhaust ? have a cylinder compression test carried out
