One day I stopped at a gas station, and it wouldn't start once I was done pumping gas. No noises or odd symptoms beforehand. Codes referred to an issue with the VVT solenoid and that both bank 1 and 2 were too lean. It cranks but acts like there's no spark. I wanted to test the camshaft position sensor to start with but have not been able to find it or the VVT. I've searched online and can't find a good picture or reference. Thanks for any help.

Hi,

The camshaft position sensor is located at the top rear of the engine (see picture below). This vehicle doesn't have variable valve timing solenoids.

The lean fuel mixture on both sides could be a few things. I need you to try something. See if the engine will start if you use starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, it sounds like the fuel pump has failed. If that isn't the case, I need you to check for ignition spark.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Let me know what you find.

So it wouldn't start with starting fluid and I checked for spark which there was. I located the CPS and replaced it. When I went to start it, it started rightup so I gave myself a pat on the back and went to bed. This morning it started right up but when I got a kile or two from the house and the engine started to warm up it died while I was driving and won't start again. Not sure what yo do next.
