I dropped a valve seat on the passenger side cylinder bank. My timing was still on so i know i did not bend a valve. After pulling the head i re installed the loose valve seat and lapped the intake valve so it sealed properly. what are the chances that the valve seat will come loose again in the future? should i buy a rebuilt head or is it worth an attempt to drive it.

Good afternoon,

Did you press it in or have a machine shop check it? If it came loose, it came loose for a reason, too much heat.

A common issue for this engine.

To be honest, if t happened to one it will happen to more.

I would be proactive and replace both heads.
